Pullback crowd vindicated? I mean, didn't it pull back intra-day? Or, should I start by saying "what a phony close?" Because it sure seemed like one.

Today's rally will be chalked off as an options expiration chuckle, the kind of thing that's played havoc with the bears every expiration for months now.

It seemed as bogus as they get.

But the truth is, it rallied. The consensus, overwhelming consensus, was that it couldn't rally.

Maybe we should accept, again, this is one tough short.

Leave it at that.

Until we look through Google (GOOG - commentary - Trade Now) and IBM (IBM - commentary - Trade Now).
